April 12/04 – Following the split of Budapest in December, it looked as though the name Budapest might never be heard of again. However although the band have gone their separate ways we are pleased to confirm that the name will be resurrected by original member John Garrison. John, who wrote all of the original Budapest material, will be performing under the name Budapest with Chris Pemberton, playing material John has written since returning from his 3 month break, along with some older compositions. Obviously following the band split the guys are no longer with Universal, for whom thanks goes out for their support of ‘Too Blind To Hear’, but we are hopeful that fans of the original Budapest will embrace the new line-up and new material. A new album is being recorded, which will include live favourites such as ‘Walking On Water’ and ‘Say Something Wonderful’. Keep checking the site, as more information about the album will be posted on a regular basis.
Hope all is well,
